In 1973, Robeson Country Day School moved from Lumber Bridge to the Flora Macdonald Campus. This K-12 private school changed its name to Flora Macdonald Academy in 1981 and it remains a vibrant part of the Red Springs community.

Red Springs, North Carolina resident Patricia Watson Price recently joined the Flora Macdonald Ball Committee as Alumnae Liaison for Flora Macdonald Academy. Pat is a 1991 graduate of Flora Macdonald Academy and returned to teach there in 1996 for several years. Currently, she is employed with the Robeson County District Attorney's Office and will be graduating with a master's degree in counseling from UNC Pembroke in December. In 2002, she accepted Andrew Price's marriage proposal at the Japanese Bridge on the Flora Macdonald campus, and they have been happily married for three years.

bridge spanning ALL of the institutions of learning. Let us know
if you are one of the lucky ones! Or, if you know of a relative who
received a proposal here. Patricia Watson Price, who was proposed
to by her husband Andrew at the bridge in 2002, is keeping a list!
