Please note: As of June 1, 2006 the Flora Macdonald Legacy Foundation was approved as an official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Visit "Friends of the Legacy" (See tab at left titled GIVING) if interested in giving opportunities to support the Ball and the mission of the foundation. It is only through the support of friends that we are able to produce this celebration and help preserve the legacy.

THE FLORA MACDONALD BALL
The next Flora Macdonald Ball will be held on October 4, 2008 on the Campus of Flora Macdonald in Red Springs, NC (200 College St.) beginning at 7:00pm. This event, held in conjunction with the Flora Macdonald Highland Games, will include Scottish country dancing, Contra dancing and waltzes. Experienced dancers as well as those with little or no experience are encouraged to participate. For more information on the dances and the dance format please see tab at left.
Main Building on Flora Macdonald Campus
Many will want to attend for the dancing while others may want to attend to enjoy the camaraderie and the music. The hope of the Ball Committee is that this ball will not only be an opportunity to enjoy wonderful music and dancing but that it will also serve as an unofficial homecoming for those who have attended school on the Flora Macdonald Campus and for those who share an appreciation for the rich history of the campus and the region. For Alumni information please see tabs at left.

Please note that while the Ball and the Highland Games are being held in conjunction, tickets need to be purchased separately. Also, while you can attend one event or the other our ultimate hope is that you will want to attend both events and make a weekend of it!
